Walla Walla – Daniel and God’s Rest
These studies were presented in the fall of 1979. Early in 1979, the theme of “God’s Sabbath Rest” was first presented at a camp meeting in New Zealand in May. Fred later presented it across the world field: America, Africa, and Germany. This particular series was presented in November, at Walla Walla, Washington, USA. It was Fred’s second visit to this town in the fall of 1979. The first had been about a month earlier. He wrote:
I departed Huntsville on Monday, November 12, and headed for Walla Walla. The weather was quite bad with low cloud, and it delayed aircraft departures. Thus I came to Atlanta, Georgia, where I had to make the connecting flight for Salt Lake City with barely time to make the plane. My baggage did not.
So I spent the night in Salt Lake City waiting for the bag to catch up, which it did early the next morning. I spent the next two days in Twin Falls, on Thursday journeyed on to Boise, and then on Friday to Walla Walla. In each of these stop-overs we were able to have good fellowship with the believers and were thankful for the opportunity.
In Walla Walla, we met in the apartment rented by Neil Cameron, who has been the organizer of the meetings in this area since I first went there last year. This was to be the third series in this city. The first was last year, the second in October this year, and now the third in November.
Frank and Waiva Clark, and Danny and Vivian Todd, with their respective children came across from Kamiah and Kooskia in Idaho, and Ellen Burns, Birdie Gray, Kathie Thorns, and Richard Reiss came down from Canada. It was certainly good to see them all again.
The meetings began Friday evening when two sessions were covered. The attendance numbered between thirty and forty and it was good to see many familiar faces in the audience. The subject matter was “God’s rest as revealed in Daniel”. The interest was good and once again the next day, folk were prepared to miss the regular church meetings in order to hear the message. The studies continued through Sunday with two final sessions being given in the evening. Throughout, the interest was excellent and folk are now acquainted with the message and have shown a willingness to study it further. This is encouraging and we expect to see some of them, at least, at camp meeting next year if that is possible.

From Bondage to Freedom
Here are two studies summarizing this foundational gospel theme (which is also available as a book). The location for these studies is not known.

Barry, I only ever had 6 audio tapes for the 1979 Walla Walla Camp. That translates into 12 studies. Actually there is one more study from this series, a history of the movement and Fred’s experience. It is posted in the history section, at the bottom of the page.
