Originally written as a series of Articles on the Gospel of John, in the Present Truth periodical magazine from 1898-1899, these have been collected into this book.
John’s Gospel is uniquely different from the other three gospels, and especially emphasizes Jesus’ divinity, and His close connection with the Father, and with His body, the Church.
As such, it provides a rich field from which to draw the truths of the everlasting Gospel plan, as revealed in the condescension of Christ, His sacrifice, and the plan for His glory to be revealed in the church. Waggoner draws a close parallel between what Jesus did, and what He wants to do again through His church. 263p

I have loved the Book of John for most of my life. I’m 54 years old now and I attended a seminar in Los Angeles in 1987 called Discipleship Training from the Book of John, I think. Anyway, I look forward to reading and studying this work. If anyone knows about a Discipleship Seminar from the Book of John, I’d love to check it out.
Thanks for your comment! I don’t know of a Discipleship Seminar from the Book of John, but I could recommend two other books by the same author (E. J. Waggoner):
All About Jesus, vol. 1
All About Jesus, vol 2
These books contain articles by Waggoner that cover the life of Christ, organized by the timeline and major events of the Saviour’s time on Earth. They are excellent!
